We caught up with club captain Jayce Olivero to get his thoughts on tomorrow’s game against Lynx and more.
The team has been kept busy during their extra week of rest – we asked Jayce how the team is feeling, “The team is feeling excellent and looking forward to getting back to competition. The team has been working hard each day to prepare for our next game.”
We asked Jayce how the team is feeling heading into tomorrow’s game against Lynx, “The team spirit is high and everyone is focused on our next task at hand. Next up for the team is important games against Lynx and Glacis before the league is paused due to the international break – we asked how crucial these games are ahead of the internationals, “Like with every game, the next two games are massively important. We are fully focused on our next game and will give everything we have. As we always do, we will focus on one game at a time and ensure we apply ourselves correctly and leave everything on the pitch.”
Jayce reflected on our last three games against St Joseph’s, Magpies, and Lincoln – “There are a lot of positives we can take from the last 3 games. We have reflected on our recent performances and worked on the areas we can improve on. This is the process we go through after every game. This is what will help us improve and be the best team we can be.”
Gibraltar plays Greece and Netherlands at the end of March, we asked Jayce how he feels heading into the international, “When international games are approaching it is always an exciting time. Great international fixtures are approaching which everyone is looking forward to. It’s important to use this time to work as hard as possible to be ready.”
